Synology Introduces DiskStation DS2419+

Synology has announced the launch of DiskStation DS2419 +, a high capacity and performance NAS designed to meet the needs of SMBs looking for storage expansion capabilities in a scalable and versatile file server solution, application hosting, backup of data and collaboration tool in real time.

Synology DiskStation DS1819 + is equipped with an Intel C3538 quad-core processor at 2.1 GHz and has 4 Gbytes of DDR4 memory that can be expanded up to 32 Gbytes. It offers 12 bays to the total internal maximum storage capacity of 168 Tbytes with hard disks of up to 14 Tbytes. It can also house solid-state drives and with expansion units, the capacity of the system is up to 336 TB.

The new Synology NAS has four Gigabit Ethernet ports, and an additional 10 GbE card with which it offers sequential read/write data transfer up to 1,716 / 671 Mbytes per second. It also supports a NIC or SSD M.2 adapter card to provide greater configuration flexibility and response to the demands of intensive workloads; one PCIe Gen3 x8 slot and two USB 3.0 ports.

Like all Synology NAS, the Synology DiskStation DS2419 + runs with DiskStation Manager, the Web-based operating system for proprietary devices, which is one of the best solutions for the mid-range market as we have been able to verify when analyzing any of the equipment in this company, both for its operation and the breadth of applications it offers to cover all the uses of this NAS.
